Course Outline
COURSE OVERVIEW
4 Weeks/6 Hours
1 1/2 Hour Classes
New classes start each month.
For puppies 10 weeks to 8 months old on the class start date.
WEEK 1
Lessons
- Understanding what our dogs read in communication.
- Understanding dog parenting principles for the age/stage of your puppy.
Activities/Training Skills
- Nurturing Politeness For Permission
- Learning How To Communicating
- Asking our puppy to stop a behavior.
- Asking our puppy to do a new behavior.
- Leash Training
- How to use the leash for communication rather than restraint.
WEEK 2
Lessons
- Responsive relating.
- Navigating life with the ability to say what you need to say to get behaviors you need in situations that matter.
- Understanding what dogs read in communication.
Activities/Training Exercises
- Using politeness for permission in a dynamic way.
- Teaching possession & sharing.
- Advanced leash training.
- Safety cues.

Lessons
- Understanding dog society
- What is my dog going to be when they grow up?
- Understanding role vs. personality.
- What age/stage does my dog start to understand their role?
- What does this look like?
- How do I help them self actualize?
